Writing short form content may seem like an impossible task. We all can be wordy at times. The thought of creating something that will understood in a few seconds can make writers uncomfortable. However, readers feel comfortable with short form content. Decreasing your word count by 500–600 can mean a lot to people consuming your content.

Have you ever thought about the restrictions that you have to abide by when writing your bios on social media platforms? Your bio is counted by the characters. This means that you want to use short words to get your point across. This does not mean you must sacrifice quality or depth. If done correctly, shortened content will get you more opportunities. Furthermore, your brand will get more attention because people are listening.

It’s easier to write in short form because it takes less time. However, it’s still challenging yet rewarding. The challenge that you overcome allows your audience to enjoy the rewards of your words. That’s the whole intent of entrepreneurship. Create content that is rewarding for more opportunities. Writing short form content requires a different skill that engages your audience.

No more long form content for your brand! It’s time to put up and shut up. Especially if you know your audience has a short attention span. Don’t waste time in this fast-paced world we live in today! Let your content be creative and innovative now. Consider the following tips when writing your content:

  • Short form content is a great way to communicate with your audience and get feedback on what they think about the company or product.
  • You can write about anything you want. Practice writing your content in short spurts of time too.
  • Don’t compromise your integrity when writing.
  • When writing content, use 3–5 sentence paragraphs.

Make sure each paragraph has its own topic so readers don’t feel confused due to lack of context when reading your content. Let your reader imagine the feelings you provoke with your words. Dig deep with each word so that it touches a life. Your words have the ability to change hearts! Believe in your message.

Finally, let your long sentences start new thoughts/topics. Refrain from using too many conjunctions. For example, don’t let your thoughts get cluttered up by using words like, “and” or “but” too many times. Providing enough context clues in your sentences that keep your reader interested. For example, use simple words to explain your message. Some readers might not understand those million dollar words yet. If you have enough dollar words, you will attract those million dollar clients. Keep your message simple.

Always keep your short formed content direct. Have a message, say it proudly, and leave your reader with a final thought. My final thought for you is simple. Let your short form content change lives!
